Howard Stern is considered by many of his fans to be a “regular” guy who had a voice in the media and grew his audience slowly and systematically. Now that social media and social networks give anyone a voice and access to millions of potential listeners, the playing field has leveled. We’ll see more and more engaging and entertaining personalities emerge. Who might these personalities be? Gary Vaynerchuk of the Wine Library in New Jersey used social media and video to increase the sales of his parents liquor store five or six hundred percent in just a few years.  He is now a speaker, bestselling author, and social media consultant who makes thousands of dollars for speaking to audiences, freely dropping “f-bombs” and other words that Howard could get away with only on satellite radio.

Recently we saw Gangnam Style turn a South Korean Rapper into an overnight phenom.
